John R. Koenig Lifetime Achievement Award

In 2019 NSMMS established their most prestigious recognition: an annual Lifetime Achievement Award. It honors a person from Government, Industry, or Academia, who over a sustained period of time, nominally greater than 20 years, exemplified the following traits:

• Made significant contributions to space and missile materials community;
• Exemplified technical and/or organizational leadership; and
• Inspired others in the field and provided mentorship.

In keeping with the very high stature of this award, it was named after a person who embodied its meaning: John R. Koenig Lifetime Achievement Award.

Award Submission

Submissions before 26 January 2024 will be considered for award at the 2024 Symposium.
