Agenda Section Description

Christopher Scrapper, Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency

DARPA is exploring integrated capabilities to bring high volume fires to address a variety of targets in contested environments using cross-service launch platforms in all physical domains. The Cross Domain Maritime Surveillance and Targeting (CDMaST) program is a maritime instantiation of this vision focused on holding ships and submarines at risk over wide areas. The program has completed initial design of the warfighting architecture construct and is now proceeding to conduct experiments to explore and validate the concept. In addition, the program has developed a multi-domain experimentation environment to enable efficient, constructive, virtual, live testing of complex multi-domain architectures. We will present the ASW/ASuW architecture design and analysis results along with a detailed description of the DARPA Experimentation Environment (DE2) and the CDMaST experimentation plan currently being executed.

Mark Gustafson, Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems

This briefing will provide an introduction to hypersonic systems. Topics include; what is “hypersonics”, relevant US hypersonics history, and a discussion of what is making hypersonics a topic of interest today.
