Enabling Joint Fire Control: Warfighter Challenges and Operational Lessons Learned
Integrated fire control kill-chains utilizing multi-mission sensors and weapons platforms are a crucial capability to enhance U.S. and Joint Forces effectiveness in all theaters. The operational arena consists of an expansive, dynamic security environment, rapidly evolving threats, and the global significance of maintaining stability and security in key regions across the full spectrum of operations. This topic will include:
- Electromagnetic Spectrum Warfare (ESW) approaches to gain decisive military advantage in the electromagnetic spectrum (EMS). ESW will drive changes in operational CONOPS to better leverage and employ capabilities across all warfare areas.
- Interoperability & Network Enhanced Fire Control to enhance effectiveness of weapon systems through creation of kill webs through the integration with additional active and passive sensors, networks, weapons and combat systems. Specific Surface Combat System digitization efforts and key infrastructures will be explored.
- Multi-Domain Command and Control and Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance, comprehensive -layered defense frameworks, and advanced networking will also be explored.
