Mentoring and Being Mentored

The 3rd NFCS Women’s Forum Luncheon and Panel discussion will be held on Tuesday, 31 July, immediately following the Plenary Session. The Women’s Forum Luncheon and Panel will take place at the Aliante Casino + Hotel, from 1200 – 1500 in the Sedona A & B Ballroom.

Each panelist will discuss her perspective on the technical, organizational and leadership challenges and opportunities for women with responsibilities in the area of national fire control, providing personal experiences and specific examples from their own careers.  Panelists will also touch on such issues as:

  1. The dynamics of advancing in the technical and business environment.

  2. The kind of challenges women uniquely faces in achieving their goals and how to overcome obstacles.

  3. How to capitalize on opportunities and strategies for career success.

  4. The importance of mentoring:  both being a mentor and being mentored by others

  5. How to choose a mentor and how to get the most out of a mentorship.

This is a great opportunity to interact with the panel in a casual setting and meet other women working toward the fire control solution.
