Eligibility
The NFCS will be held at the SECRET/NOFORNlevel. Attendees must be a U.S. citizen and possess a FINAL SECRET clearance in order to attend. Visit requests will be required. More information will be posted in the coming weeks about this.
Visit Requests
Visit Requests – Due 3 February 2016
Visit requests for the National Fire Control Symposium (NFCS 2016) will be processed through the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS). A copy of your visit request must be received through JPAS by close of business 27 January 2016.
Please ensure your security office uses the following information when inputting/processing clearances via JPAS.

NFCS Badge Photo
Badges will be issued once you have met the security guidelines and have produced one of the following photo identifications on site:
- Driver's License
- Passport
- Current Government/Military ID
Please email a JPG file (150 dpi minimum) of your photo for your Symposium badge to Ms. Sherry Johnson, sjohnson@blue52productions.com. Photos taken onsite will incur a $20 fee. To avoid this charge, send your JPG photo file in advance or upload online when registering!!
Electronic Devices
No electronic devices of any kind will be allowed into the classified sessions. This includes, but is not limited to, incoming and outgoing pagers/beepers, smart phones, smart watches, palm pilots or blackberry, laptops and tablets, health monitoring devices and audio/visual recording devices. Briefcases, purses, and planners are also prohibited. It is recommended that you leave these items in your car or in your hotel room. If you do bring these items, Symposium coordinators will collect them before you enter the classified meeting space and you may pick them up upon exiting. The Symposium will not be liable for lost or damaged items.
For the unclassified sessions, devices, briefcases, purses, etc. are allowed, however, we ask that you turn any electronic devices off as a courtesy to speakers and other attendees.
Notetaking
Notetaking in the classified session is prohibited except in the NFCS Redbooks that will be provided on-site. The Redbooks will be coded with an identification number that matches an identification number on your badge. When leaving the auditorium, you must turn the notebook back in to the security staff. All notebooks will be shipped to attendees working in a cleared facility with storage capability at the close of the Symposium.
