...the 2nd annual Nano Materials for Defense Applications Symposium, 19 - 26 February 2004 in Maui, HI. This premier event, sponsored by the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Materials and Manufacturing Directorate (AFRL/ML), is committed to providing the necessary stewardship to bring nanoscience advancements to fruition within the aerospace community. Nanotechnology will profoundly change all critical aspects of maintaining a technologically superior defense capability. Leadership in nanotechnology research and development is thus critical to maintaining our technological edge in national defense, especially with regard to aerospace capabilities. This focused symposium brings together industry and government technical representatives to explore the potential of nanostructured materials to be realized in DoD programs in the near future. Additionally, a joint US Air Force & Taiwan Workshop will be offered the first two days of the event. Please join your colleagues at the forefront of this technology arena.
